Overview
Africa has highly diverse electricity market structures. For SSS purposes, the most relevant markets tend to be those with:
- Legacy nuclear or large legacy hydro that is delivered as part of standard supply, and
- Credible EAC infrastructure (domestic REC systems or international I-REC), and
- Sufficiently stable data sources for defensible emission factors and pro‑rata allocation.
